John Berg

John joined SPSI in early 2004. At that time John and a small staff started SPSI Distribution Systems. Over the past eight years John has overseen the accelerated growth of this very specialized group of systems engineers focused on Enterprise Distribution Applications, including carrier compliant and certified shipping systems, TMS, WMS, wireless / barcode and material handling applications. While John has been at the helm the Distribution Systems group has grown substantially servicing over 350 companies spread out at 3500 locations around the world. John is one of the Principle Partners at SPSI, and is involved in all aspects of running SPSI’s business.

John has over 28 years of experience in all aspects of transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Prior to SPSI, John held several key management positions with UPS, Olson Logistics, and Advanced Distribution Solutions. John specialized in supply chain optimization, customer automation, and logistical process improvement along with leveraging B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions.

John earned an MBA degree along with three complementary undergraduate degrees in business, marketing and management. John's continuous education philosophy is carried over in the improvement processes delivered to both SPSI's internal and external customer base.

John and his wife Teri currently reside in the Western suburbs of Milwaukee, WI. Both John and Teri enjoy and participate in many extra-curricular activities related to raising their three children, as well as staying involved in their local school, church, and community.

Tim Casey

Tim joined SPSI in 1998 and has continuously evolved and grown his contributions to the company, from being hired as a Senior Account Executive all the way to his current role as President.

Tim is closely involved in the day to day technical operations. Tim’s acute sales acumen as well as his finely tuned diplomacy offers both revenue contributions as well as strong company leadership.

Tim began his career in information technology at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the late 1980's when open outcry trading was migrating to online systems. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Elmhurst College. Before settling in at SPSI Tim also spent a few years consulting for Virchow Krause & Co. where he fine-tuned his knowledge and skill sets surrounding government and institutional sales, network architecture, asset management and compliance requirements for financial institutions.

Tim’s vision of SPSI is simple…solve our customers' business challenges by delivering quality technology and consulting services at economical prices within realistic and consistent timelines.

Tim and his wife and three sons reside in Wauwatosa WI.

Jim Keck

As Chief Financial Officer, Jim is responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Finance and Human Resources for SPSI as well as its subsidiaries. Jim brings over 24 years’ experience as the former CEO and President of SPSI. Prior to divesting his holdings in SPSI to spend more time with his family and ever expanding number of grandchildren, Jim (with the help of a few friends) grew SPSI from a small one man shop into the expansive company it is today.

Jim was the original founder of SPSI (1987) and was involved in the technical side of the business before taking on the role of President in 1996. Prior to SPSI, Jim was a technical consultant at Computer Methods, Inc. and Harris Data before going independent for five years. His technical consulting covered the entire range of IBM Mid-Range systems integrating and implementing most major software packages along with custom software development.

Jim received an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Concordia College and enlisted in the US Army in 1973. His Army duties included training as an air defense missile mechanic for the Vulcan system, Battalion Field Operations and Battalion Legal Clerk. He received the Army Commendation Medal for his service. After his military service, Jim used the GI Bill to attend MBTI to get a certificate in Computer Science which allowed him to gain employment as a consultant.

Jim and his wife reside in Wauwatosa where they raised their three children. A lifelong sports junkie, Jim remains active playing softball, basketball, soccer and golf.

Jeff Goeters

Jeff Goeters is the Managing Director of Development for Best Way Technologies, and is responsible for overseeing daily development operations for all the Best Way Technologies offices, as well as being chief architect of the ProShip product.

As a founding member of Best Way Technologies, and a principle partner at SPSI Jeff has worked on the technology side of logistics operations for some 15 years, including roles as a programmer, system administrator, DBA, instructor, and various managerial and executive roles.

Prior to his career in the industry, Jeff is proud of his service in the surface fleet of the US Navy as a nuclear power plant electrician. Jeff and his family live in Chicago, IL.

Justin Cramer

Justin Cramer manages and directs the deployment and integration of Best Way Technologies Solutions. Justin was one of the original founders of Best Way Technologies and is a Principle Partner at SPSI.

Working directly with customers and ProShip engineers, Justin is responsible for the successful implementation of ProShip and helping customers realize long-term satisfaction and value from ProShip solutions. Taking an in-depth study approach to complex implementation problems has allowed his teams to successfully deploy solutions at dozens of Fortune 500 companies as well as 100’s of very large shipping organizations.

Justin has over 13 years of experience in developing, deploying and integrating shipping software solutions. Prior to entering the shipping world, Justin was a naval nuclear operator for eight years, tasked with plant operations and the deployment of tag-out/lock-out software to manage tasks from simple maintenance to complex ship overhaul and nuclear refueling.

Justin and his family reside in northeastern Illinois. They enjoy regularly participating in charity 5Ks. Justin and his wife strive to teach their children the continuing lessons of citizenship and leadership.

Shelly Boss

Shelly’s responsibilities include running the day-to-day operations of our Customer Advocate Group, as well as maintaining and tracking all KPI’s and quality matrices of our Customer Advocacy Program. Shelly is responsible for quality initiatives across interdepartmental entities, while enthusiastically enforcing quality standards throughout the organization.

As a certified Survey Administrator, and with over 20 years of direct customer service experience, Shelly incorporates multiple techniques to benchmark and track the customer service experience, turning satisfaction and expectation ratings into performance enhancement plans.

Shelly has earned national certifications for survey implementation and administration, instructional design, performance management, and sales administration. She has instructed writing classes at Marquette University for several years and, in addition, has had some of her creative writing works published in regional and national publications.

Residing in the Milwaukee area with her husband and their son and his family, Shelly is an avid traveler and amateur photographer, and continues her love for writing. Shelly served on the board of directors for the Cudahy-St. Francis Little Baseball Association (CSFLBA) for seven years and still volunteers for the organization.

Tony Tenerelli

Tony works directly with all SPSI personnel and customers to ensure that projects are planned, scheduled and executed within scope and budget. Keeping the lines of communication wide open ensures that all information is gathered, documented and delivered in a timely fashion.

Tony’s previous experience in Sales, IT and Customer Service has aided in his continual growth with SPSI. Tony’s broad retail experience has taught him to execute a well thought out plan and deliver results within scope and budget.

Tony and his wife Harriet reside in Orland Park, IL. They enjoy taking relaxing walks, attending sporting events and keeping busy around the house. Tony always finds time to fit in music. A lifelong musician, Tony’s instrument of choice is the electric guitar.

Nathan Rucker

Nathan Rucker manages Strategic Accounts and is a Territory Sales Director for the Distribution Systems Division at Systems & Programming Solutions, Inc. Nathan is responsible for direct global sales of Enterprise Shipping Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, and RF Barcode & Data Collection Equipment.

Nathan has over 10 years of experience in supply chain management and inventory control solutions. He has a great deal of experience working with numerous Fortune 500 companies to deploy and support enterprise level WMS/TMS systems and hardware solutions. Nathan possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. While there he also minored in Information Technology.

Nathan and his wife Megan currently reside in Stillwater, MN. When he's not working, Nathan is busy at home with his two young children, Max and Madison. Nathan enjoys a wide range of activities, including taking his children to the park, playing golf, boating, reading, investing and traveling.

James Douglas

Jim Douglas in the Managing Director of the SAP and Oracle Channel for the Distribution Systems Division and is responsible for our distribution systems initiatives with our SAP and Oracle customers and Channel.

Jim has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of business management including transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Jim's career started with various management roles with two large corporations, GE and BOC Gases, and continued with management and executive roles including ownership with small to medium size companies. Prior to joining SPSI, Jim worked as a Principal at an SAP Channel Partner and comes to us with a Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering from Texas A & M University and a MBA from the University of Chicago.

Jim and his wife Shawn reside in the western suburbs of Milwaukee, WI. Both Jim and Shawn stay busy with various extra-curricular athletic, church and school activities with their three children. Jim does find time for a little golf and water skiing in the warmer months.

Daniel Wendt

Daniel is a Territory Sales Manager responsible for direct sales of Enterprise Shipping Systems, IBM and Microsoft sales, staff augmentation, and various network hardware and software solutions.

Daniel has over 4 years of direct sales experience. Daniel has many customers who depend on his abilities to understand their situation and be able to convert their requirements into a detailed project plan. Daniel has held various positions at SPSI over the past couple of years including Account Manager as well as Support Center Lead. He has assisted all of our customers with various support issues and is a strong advocate of the SPSI/BWT customer mission.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Daniel and his wife reside in Delafield, WI. When he is not working, Daniel enjoys a range of activities including being a disc jockey, golf, softball, basketball, and taking his Vizsla, Layla, to the dog park.

Dave Huntington

Dave Huntington is the Territory Sales Director for the Distribution Systems Division at Systems & Programming Solutions, Inc. With more than fourteen years of sales experience, Dave offers expertise in software, hardware and supply products and services.

Prior to joining SPSI Dave worked for another distribution systems company for a number of years focusing most of his efforts on the sales and service of printing, scanning, mobile computing and weighing solutions. Dave also has many years’ experience with Zebra Technologies. At Zebra Dave was involved in selling both hardware as well as consumables and was instrumental in starting Zebra’s inside sales team.

Dave earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in Marketing and now lives in northern Illinois with his wife, daughter and son. Dave thoroughly enjoys the outdoors. You can also often find him playing sports such as softball, basketball, volleyball and golf with his family and friends.

Mark Williamson

Mark Williamson is the Territory Sales Director at Systems & Programming Solutions, Inc. with the Distribution Systems Division. Mark is responsible for direct sales of Enterprise Shipping Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Solutions and all supporting hardware.

Mark has over 11 years of experience providing supply chain management and inventory control solutions. Mark has a great deal of experience deploying and supporting enterprise solutions and the hardware that support those systems.

Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Mark is currently perusing his Masters Degree in Management Technology also at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Mark and his wife, Sarah, have two young children and currently reside in Woodbury, Minnesota. Mark enjoys a wide range of activities including running marathons, jogging and biking. Mark is also keeps busy playing volleyball, basketball, baseball and keeping up with his active children.

Laura Holtz

Laura’s positive demeanor along with her can do attitude makes her a customer favorite among the ranks of our Account Management Team. As a dedicated member of our Customer Support Center, Laura’s responsibilities include meeting her customer’s expectations at all levels. This includes both proactive and reactive correspondence, coordinating requests for additional features, functionality and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Laura came to SPSI with over 20 years of account management and customer service experience. Laura’s tenure at UPS, (one of Fortune Magazine’s top ten “most admired corporations) has provided her with the education and experience to understand and assist with even the most complicated of Logistics and Supply Chain customer situations.

Laura and her family reside in the Western suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She enjoys baking, gardening and reading.

Vicky Pare

Most of Vicky’s daily efforts surround efficiently coordinating the schedules of our 30+ developers and project engineers. Even though scheduling is a delicate and difficult task, Vicky makes time to play a significant role in project management, procurement, and ongoing vendor & customer relations.

Vicky has been working in the Transportation, Distribution, and IT Systems business's for the past 15 years. Vicky's industry experience, superior customer contact skills and organizational acumen make her an extremely important part of the SPSI Team.

Vicky and her family reside in Southeastern, WI where most of her free time is spent at various church related activities and motorcycle rallies across the state. When Vicky is not riding her Harley Davidson she is spending time with her daughter who is an accomplished vocalist.

Diane Boone

Diane’s Degree in accounting comes in handy as she spends a good amount of time working on the finances and accounting of SPSI and BWT. Diane is also responsible for procurement and configuration of complex customer systems, including IBM iSeries, and many others. Prior to working for SPSI she was the controller and corporate secretary for another Wisconsin company.

Diane joined SPSI in 1991 as an accounting clerk and program tester. Her current duties include accounting, vendor relations, hardware & software procurement, and hardware and software maintenance.

Diane resides in the suburbs of northwest Milwaukee. She serves as an officer of the Kettle Moraine Moose Lodge. Her interests include, bowling, crafting, woodworking, collecting vases and traveling.

Shannon Darton

Shannon joined SPSI in early 2006 as front desk support and quickly became known to clients as the “face/voice of SPSI”. Over the last 6 years she has been successfully managing a variety of responsibilities including; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll Time Entry. She also supports HR and serves in an administrative role, with oversight of day to day activities that are valuable to our fast paced environment.

Previous to SPSI, Shannon brings 19 years of corporate experience, in roles both such as AP/AR, Executive Assistance, Sales and Customer Service. Shannon has been nominated for company Customer Service Awards as well as consistently recognized for her positive attitude and contagious spirit.

Shannon was also formerly a cosmetologist before changing careers to corporate, but continues to keep her license active. She resides in Hartland, WI, enjoys spending time with her 2 teenage children, volunteer work, singing, running and coordinating events.

Carolyn Hoffman

Carolyn is responsible for both internal and external marketing efforts for all of SPSI and its subsidiaries. Carolyn handles all aspects of marketing from trade show exhibiting to web site content.

With an IT background, Carolyn has gained industry experience in the manufacturing/distribution and service industries since graduating in 1984. Carolyn began her career in programming and advanced to project manager. Prior to joining the BWT/SPSI team in 1998, Carolyn worked with Best Way Technologies/SPSI consultants for more than ten years utilizing their expertise at her prior employment locations.

In her marketing capacity, Carolyn coordinates trade show activity, maintains the content on the company’s web sites, partner sites, and Internet Ad campaigns. Carolyn is responsible for product collateral, advertising, trademarks and public relations. She also monitors staff certification and education levels to maintain compliance with business partners such as IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, Cisco, Citrix and many others.

Carolyn and her family reside in Waukesha County. She is the cofounder and Vice President of the SSADH Association, an organization established to find treatment for children born with rare neurological disorders.

Carolyn Wilson

Carolyn joined SPSI in April 2013 to oversee and develop all digital marketing initiatives. She is working with the sales and marketing teams to align branding, lead generation and Web conversion strategies and processes. With an IT and Web background, Carolyn brings over 15 years of experience to SPSI. Her past experiences have been in the print industry, manufacturing and university environments. Carolyn has a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Carolyn and her family reside in Southeastern, WI. Besides all the running and kids’ activities, Carolyn enjoys playing soccer, golfing, camping, fishing and reading.
