Principal Partner - President
|
Jim was the original founder of SPSI in 1987 and was involved in the technical side of the business before taking on the role of President in 1996. Prior to SPSI, Jim was a technical consultant at Computer Methods, Inc. and Harris Data before going independent for five years. His technical consulting covered the entire range of IBM Mid-Range systems integrating and implementing most major software packages along with custom software development.
Jim received an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Concordia College and enlisted in the US Army in 1973. His Army duties included training as an air defense missile mechanic for the Vulcan system, Battalion Field Operations and Battalion Legal Clerk. He received the Army Commendation Medal for his service. After his military service, Jim used the GI Bill to attend MBTI to get a certificate in Computer Science which allowed him to gain employment as a consultant.
Jim and his wife reside in Wauwatosa where they raised their three children. A lifelong sports junkie, Jim remains active playing softball, basketball, soccer and golf.

Principal Partner - Executive Vice President and COO

Al has overall responsibility for customer and partner relationships in addition to all hardware sales, configurations, procurement and installation.
Prior to joining SPSI in 1991 Al was employed at IBM for 25 years, first as a Customer Engineer with hardware support focus including AS/400 and later as a Systems Engineer with technical marketing responsibilities at many firms in Southeastern Wisconsin. Al has an Associates Electrical Engineering Degree from MTI.

Tim Casey began his career in information technology at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the late 1980's when open outcry trading was migrating to online systems. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Elmhurst College.
In 1998 Tim was hired by SPSI as a Senior Account Executive for the network and infrastructure services area. Tim then took on the responsibility of reorganizing and developing the Business software solution offering NAVISION, now a Microsoft Business Solution ®. After a several successful implementations the Navision practice grew by over 100% in less than two years.
Tim left SPSI to join the ranks of a current strategic partner of SPSI: Virchow Krause & Co., a top 20 CPA and consulting firm. He provided information technology consulting services to mid sized companies, financial institutions and city and government organizations. Areas of expertise include: data security needs analysis, hardware and software asset management, information technology planning, network architecture, and system design and selection.
In March of 2003 Tim rejoined SPSI to carry forward the SPSI mission of solving our customers' business challenges by delivering technology and consulting services for mid sized companies.
Tim and his wife and three sons reside in Wauwatosa WI.

John Berg is the Managing Partner of the Distribution Systems Division at SPSI. John oversees all aspects of delivering customer value through automated and integrated systems solutions. John manages a very specialized group of senior systems engineers focused on Enterprise Distribution Applications, including carrier compliant and certified shipping systems, TMS, WMS, wireless / barcode and material handling applications.
John has over 22 years of experience in all aspects of transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Prior to SPSI, John held several key management positions with UPS, Olson Logistics, and Advanced Distribution Solutions. John specialized in supply chain optimization, customer automation, and logistical process improvement along with leveraging B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions.
John earned an MBA degree along with three complementary undergraduate degrees in business, marketing and management. John's continuous education philosophy is carried over in the improvement processes delivered to both SPSI's internal and external customer base.
John and his wife Teri currently reside in the Western suburbs of Milwaukee, WI. Both John and Teri enjoy and participate in many extra-curricular activities related to raising their three children, as well as staying involved in their local school, church, and community.

Branch Office Manager - Madison, WI Office
|
Bill is the SPSI Madison Branch Office Manager. Bill was appointed Branch Office Manager when hired in 1996. Bill began his career in 1968 with IBM in Rochester MN. Bill was also assigned in Milwaukee before ending his IBM career in Madison in 1996. Bill was in technical positions at IBM, but is now a Sales Account Executive with SPSI.
Bill has a BS in Chemical Engineering from UW - Madison. He and his wife Jackie have three children and one grandson.

Director of Territory Sales

Nathan Rucker is the Director of Territory Sales for the Distribution Systems Division at Systems & Programming Solutions, Inc. Nathan is responsible for direct global sales of Enterprise Shipping Systems, Transportation Management Systems, RF Barcode & Data Collection Equipment, and Warehouse Management Solutions.
Nathan has over 6 years of experience in supply chain management and inventory control solutions. He has a great deal of experience working with numerous Fortune 500 companies to deploy and support enterprise level WMS systems and hardware solutions. Nathan possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. While there he also minored in Information Technology.
Nathan and his wife Megan currently reside in Stillwater, MN. When he's not working, Nathan is busy at home with his two young children, Max and Madison. Nathan enjoys a wide range of activities, including taking his children to the park, playing golf, boating, reading, investing and traveling.

Chris Allen is our Senior Account Manager at SPSI. Chris devotes much of his attention on Hardware and Software as well as Managed Client Services. Much of his time is spent building new customer relationships as well as working with existing customers and taking a consultative approach to customers needs.
Chris has over 12 years experience in Networking hardware and software. Prior to joining SPSI Chris was the lead consultant for hardware and software requirements for the largest bank in the state of Wisconsin. After his consulting work, Chris began forming his own client relationships within the state of Wisconsin including many in the "Fortune 500" annual listings.
In addition to his IT experience, Chris is also well versed in the Telecommunication industry and Wireless/RF Technology needs for a variety of industries.
Chris resides in the western suburbs. He enjoys hunting and fishing and is an all around outdoorsman.

Customer Service Administrator

Shelly Boss is the Customer Service Administrator of the Distribution Systems Division at SPSI. Shelly is responsible for our customer service advocate program, and manages the support call process from service call initiation to close the loop, as well as implementing customer service policies and procedures for the Distribution group and maintaining the business relationships with our clients.
Shelly has over 20 years of direct customer service and account management experience. As a certified Survey Administrator, Shelly utilizes various tools and venues to benchmark and track the customer service experience with clients, turning satisfaction and expectation ratings into performance enhancement plans. Part of Shelly's responsibilities are to maintain consistent and regularly scheduled client contact and relationships through close the loop, newsletters, informational mailings that include product and service updates, policy maintenance, and customer service process improvement.
Shelly has earned national certifications for survey implementation and administration, instructional design, performance management, and sales administration. She taught Creative Writing at Marquette University for several years and has had some of her work published in regional and national print.
Residing in the Milwaukee area with her husband and son, Shelly served on the board of directors for the Cudahy-St. Francis Little Baseball Association (CSFLBA) for seven years. Shelly continues her love for creative writing and haiku, and collects southwestern art and sculpture and oriental artifacts.
